Katherine Adams Obituary

Katherine F. Adams
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother

TEWKSBURY -- Katherine F. "Kay"(Talbot) Adams, age 70, a Tewksbury resident for 36 years, formerly of N. Reading, passed away at home on Monday, December 23, 2013.

She was the beloved wife of Lloyd D. Adams, with whom she celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on April 17, 2013.

Born in Winchester on January 28, 1943, she was the daughter of the late William M. "Mel" Talbot and the late Katherine (Doherty) Talbot.

Kay was raised in Reading, attended Reading schools and graduated from Reading High School. Following high school, she attended Catherine Gibbs Business School in Boston.

Prior to her retirement in 2002, she worked as the Warehouse Manager for Data Associates of Waltham for 10 years. In earlier years, Kay worked as a Mortgage Officer.

Kay enjoyed life's simple pleasures of watching sunsets from her deck, playing with her granddaughter, scoping out new restaurants, family cookouts, vacations at the beach and tending to her garden and yard.

Her greatest joy came from raising two wonderful girls to grow and become two fine young women.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jennifer L. Adams and Patricia K. Benecchi and her husband Brendan all of Chelmsford; her granddaughter, Katherine E. Benecchi of Chelmsford; two brothers, William "Brother" Talbot of Townsend and Joseph Talbot and his wife Patricia of Williamsburg, VA; her brother-in-law, Leonard Thomas of Billerica; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kay was the sister of the late June Thomas and John "Jack" Talbot and sister-in-law of the late Carol Talbot.

Another year has past. Another year of being excited about something and I want to tell you the details. So many times I have picked up the phone with hopes that I would hear your voice. You would be proud, it is the Christmas Season and the living room is filled with colorful packages full of surprises. Done in your style....one more gift for Katherine, and perhaps just one more to make it perfect. I miss you dearly and struggle with your loss. I am fortunate to have great support all around me. I miss you and want your here with us if for just one more Christmas to shop together, lunch together and talk about what we have to put under the tree. Rest and be pain free.

It has been 12 months since we lost you. I do miss you dearly and try to take in every moment and enjoy life as you did. I know you are at rest, no longer in pain, that provides some relief to me. I still want you back and I want to head to the mall with you for that more than perfect Christmas gift and of course the late lunch with a glass of wine to talk about our perfect gifts and spectacular bargains. You are missed, you are loved, always and forever.
