Kenneth Callahan Obituary

Kenneth Callahan of Lowell, formerly of Boston; 55 LOWELL Mr. Kenneth Callahan, age 55, of Lowell, formerly of Boston, died unexpectedly on Saturday November 3rd, 2007 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Boston on July 10th, 1952, son of the late Lorraine Callahan Motroni, and step-son of the late Caesar Motroni. A resident of Lowell for the past 25 years, Mr. Callahan resided in the Dorchester section of Boston most of his life. Prior to his illness, he was employed at the Bedford Veteran's Administration Hospital as Transportation & Livery Driver for at least five years. Prior to that, he was also self-employed and owned & operated a carpet cleaning business. He was also operated an online merchandising business. Ken was kind in donating his time as a driver & transporter for the elderly. He volunteered for the Meals on Wheels Program at St. Michael's Church in Lowell. Survived by his former spouse, Cheryl F. (Braxten) Callahan of Lowell; two brothers; James Callahan of North Weymouth, and Richard Motroni of North Carolina; a nephew, Michael Callahan of New York; a niece, Vivian Sellbach of Poland; also several cousins. CALLAHAN of Lowell, Kenneth, age 55, died Nov. 3rd, 2007. Visiting Hours and Service to take place on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME-295 Pawtucket St., Lowell from 1:00 until 4:00 pm, with a prayer service to begin at 4:00 pm. At his request, cremation to follow services. Funeral Directors M. Kenny was a great guy and I will surely miss him, especially on Thanksgiving. We had many nice dinners together. I am thankful to have had him as a cousin and a friend.
