Loving Mother, Grandmother,
Great-grandmother, Sister and Aunt
BILLERICA -- Lorraine V. (Surette) Veator, age 88, beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Veator Jr., died unexpectedly Friday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born in Boston, May 21, 1929, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Vargas) Surette and lived in East Boston before moving to Billerica in 1985.
Lorraine enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She loved her family vacations to Disney World and never missed watching a Red Sox game.
She is survived by one son James Veator and his wife Irene of Bridgewater; two daughters Lori McInnis and Cheryl Veator both of Billerica; one sister Margaret Veator and her husband Ernest of Methuen; one brother William Surette of Florida; two sisters-in-law Anna Surette of Florida and Elizabeth Surette of East Boston, as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Joseph F. Veator III and sister of the late Joseph Surette Jr.
VEATOR -- Of Billerica, formerly of East Boston, unexpectedly Dec. 1, Lorraine V. Veator. Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 am. A funeral mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 am. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 - 7 pm. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Funeral Director Dean M. Laurendeau. www.sweeneymemorialfh.com.

Aunt Lorraine was my Godmother, she never let a birthday or Christmas pass without giving me a gift. Many times I asked her not too because I was too old but she insisted, that was the type of person she was and what a huge heart she had. She will be missed so very dearly. May you rest in peace.
