Louisa P. Skinner LaPointe
Loving mother, grandmother, and sister

FT. LAUDERDALE -- Louisa P. Skinner LaPointe, age 58, died unexpectedly Feb. 12, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

She was born in Boston, April 22, 1955, a daughter of John Skinner of Nova Scotia and the late Claire (Martin) Skinner, and lived in Billerica and Andover before moving to Buxton, ME. She was the surviving spouse of Edward LaPointe who passed away in 2012.

Mrs. Skinner LaPointe was a Psych Tech for Spring Harbor in Portland, ME for the past 12 years, and enjoyed traveling and shopping but spending time with her grandchildren and family was her favorite pastime.

Besides her father, she is survived by two sons, John Thompson of Statham, NH, and Eric Thompson of Ponte Vedra, FL; one daughter, Nicole Thompson of Limington, ME; two brothers, John F. Skinner Jr. of NH, and Frederick Skinner of Dracut; three sisters, Katherine D'Abbraccio of Winchester, Claire Bailey of NH,and Jacqueline Acosta of Tewksbury; as well as seven grandchildren.

SKINNER LAPOINTE -- Of Buxton, ME, formerly of Andover and Billerica, unexpectedly passed on Feb. 12, Louisa P. Skinner LaPointe. A Memorial Service will be held Monday in the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
