Lucy Petullo, age 95, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Saturday, February 3, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Anthony G. Petullo with whom he enjoyed almost 65 years of marriage.

She was born in North Billerica, MA on April 17, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Albina (Kus) Wronski.

Lucy went to school in Lowell including Butler Junior High School and graduated from Lowell High School. After High School she attended Wilfred Academy in Boston and became a hairdresser, retiring at the age of 88. Lucy was an active volunteer throughout her life including serving as a member of the Friends of Lowell High School, singing in the Choir at Sacred Heart, running the cribbage league with Tony at the Dracut Senior Center, and providing meals for the homeless. Lucy was a very active woman who loved to travel, garden and play tennis in her younger years. But mostly, Lucy enjoyed spending time with her husband and family.

In addition to her loving husband, Lucy is survived by her children: Karen Hutton and her husband Michael of Groton MA, Susan LaRoche and her husband Michael of Hudson NH, Steven Petullo and his wife Tristaan of Chelmsford MA, and Sandra Piantaggini and her husband David of Hudson NH. She had 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren that she adored: Lindsay Burgess and her husband Dan, Benjamin LaRoche and his wife Amanda, Michael Hutton Jr. and his wife Christina, Evan LaRoche and his fiancé Cathie Plante, Casey Hutton and her partner Griffin Modzelewski, Tori LaRoche, Jeffrey and Tara Piantaggini, Cameron, Alexa and Carson Petullo, Collyns Lucia and Maeve Eleanora Burgess and Brady and Jacob Hutton. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She also leaves behind a dear friend, Helen Callahan and the "the girls from Sacred Heart". She is predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Sophie Wronski, Irene Fencer, Helen Ceci, Elaine Gordon, Emmanuel Wronski and Albin Wronski.

Lucy's family would like to thank her wonderful neighbors who took care of her and Tony as if they were family, Jim and Anna Vergados & family, Roland and Tracy Mainville & family, Joseph Muiruri and Elizabeth Wakangu & family, as well as Anne Sepe from St. Margaret's Parish. Also, many thanks to the staff of Lowell General Hospital and D'Youville Center for Advanced Therapy for the care they provided to her.
