Marie L. Lambe
formerly of Topsfield, Ipswich & Wilmington; 72

IPSWICH -- Marie L. (Dillon) Lambe, 72, formerly of Topsfield, Ipswich and Wilmington, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, following a long illness.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (O'Rourke) Dillon and niece to the late Ann O'Rourke. She was raised and educated in Ireland and came to the US in 1961.

Prior to her retirement in 2004, she was employed for over 21 years at the Lowell Five Cent Savings Bank, which became Lowell Five. Marie worked in customer service, credit and collections and for the last several years, she was a Savings Services Liaison where she managed the Bank's school bank program and many other functions in support of retail banking efforts.

Marie is survived by a son, James Lambe of Lawrence, and a daughter, Ellen Teague of Dorchester, two grandchildren, Samantha and Michael Teague of Tewksbury, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Noeleen and Eamonn McDonnell of Ipswich, Phyllis and Christopher Donovan of Tewksbury, two brothers, John Dillon of Dublin, Ireland, Seamus and his wife Lucien Dillon of Johannesburg, South Africa, a sister-in-law Mona Dunne of Billerica, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one sister and brother-in-law, Annette and John Coughlin of Salem, brother-in-law Paul Dunne of Billerica, and by former husband Patrick Lambe of Billerica.

LAMBE -- Her funeral service will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 9 am from the Morris Funeral Home, 45 North Main St., Ipswich, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the Our Lady of Hope Church, Ipswich. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5 to 8 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial is in New Highland Cemetery. My sincere and deepest sympathy to Marie's family. Marie was a very cherished and loving friend..She was kind hearted, brave and a giving soul..We've were friends for many years..shared many trips including our love of the ocean (Salisbury Beach) where we talked and laughed for hours and shared many lunches together through the years. Marie was so very brave, and thankful for the time she had. She will always be remembered for the love she gave and the dignity she portrayed through good times and bad -- more difficult than we can imagine. She is loved and will be greatly missed. Our most sincere sympathy to all.
