AYER - Marie Doris (Girouard) Madden, 87, of Ayer, died Monday, April 9, 2018, at Life Care Center of Acton.
Her husband, Daniel E. Madden, died in January 1999.
Mrs. Madden was born May 30, 1930 in South Norwalk, CT one of ten children born to Adelard and Alice (Maurice) Girouard and has resided in Ayer for over 50 years.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary's Church in Ayer where she was a member of Our Lady of Fatima.
She leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Michele Madden Satellite Beach, FL; three brothers, Andre B. Girouard of Manchester, NH, Maurice Girouard and Paul Girouard both of Quebec, Canada; three sisters, Regina Aubuchon of Leominster, Desneiges Dube and Gisele Chabot both of Quebec, Canada; three grandchildren, Cara Madden, Casey Madden, Sean Madden.
She was the sister of the late George Girouard and Armand Girouard, Lucille Girouard all of Quebec.
MADDEN - A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Thursday, April 12th at St. Anthony's Church, 14 Phoenix Street, Shirley. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 4-7 Wednesday, April 11th at the Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd., (Rte. 2A) Ayer. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com.
Mrs. Madden's family would like to thank the staff of the Life Care Center of Acton for the wonderful care afforded to her during her stay.
