Marion Lyman Obituary

Marion (Doucette) Lyman, R.N. of Westford, active at St. Catherine's Church WESTFORD Marion (Doucette) Lyman, cherished wife of Carl G. Lyman of Westford, died at home on Sunday, September 23, 2007. Devoted mother of daughter, Cara H. Lyman; son, Daniel C. Lyman, and granddaughters, Kelly Rose and Emma Elizabeth; loving sister of Manfred (Buzzy) Doucette and his wife, Ginger. Marion was born into the well-known Doucette family of Graniteville, daughter of the late Mary and Clyde Doucette. A graduate of Westford Academy, she earned her RN degree from Lowell General Hospital School of Nursing; she also studied at Boston College. Marion was a member of the Lowell General Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association. A highly respected nurse, she held many professional positions in hospitals, clinics and schools in San Francisco, Hartford, Boston, and Greater Lowell. She was a Nurse Case Manager at Aetna Insurance from which she retired. On February 17, 1968, Marion and Carl were married at St. Catherine's Church in Westford. Throughout their married life, they were active in St. Catherine's, serving as Eucharistic ministers in nursing homes and hospitals and in many other ministries. They were a devoted presence. Throughout Marion's illness, friends provided extraordinary help and support, for which Carl and the family are greatly appreciative. Marion was a warm person, witty and wise. She will be deeply missed by Carl and her family and by her many, many friends. LYMAN Marion (Doucette) Lyman. Visiting hours at the HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 North Main St., WESTFORD, Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Catherine's Church, 107 North Main St., Westford, Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford. Contributions in Marion's memory may be made to her favorite Charities, The United Farm Workers ("Spare Change", 29700 Woodford-Tehachapi Rd., P.O.
