Mary (English) Jean of Nashua, NH, formerly of Littleton; 73 NASHUA, NH Mrs. Mary (English) Jean, of Nashua, NH, entered eternal life Monday, December 3, 2007 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was married to Claude R. Jean with whom she would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on July 5. Born in Springfield, MA, on Dec. 20, 1933, the daughter of the late Dennis and Louise (Leary) English. She was a graduate of the Sacred Heart High School in Springfield, MA with the class of 1951. A resident of Nashua, NH for the past 23 years, She previously lived in Littleton, MA from 1967 to 1983, Easthampton, MA, Concord, NH, Hicksville, NY and Durham, NH. Mary worked as a receptionist at different companies including San-Vel Corp., in Littleton, MA, Digital Corp. in Maynard, MA, Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., in New York, and most recently at Brewer and Lord Ins. Agency in Acton, MA. She regularly attended the 4:00 Mass on Saturdays at St. Joseph Church in Nashua, NH. She loved her family and especially her cat, TC. She also loved genealogy and trying to guess someone's heritage by their name. Besides her loving husband, Claude R. Jean, former Principal of Littleton (MA) High School, she is survived by a daughter, Peg Badger and her husband, Donald of Chelmsford, MA; a daughter-in-law, Patricia (Kilpatrick) Jean of Nashua, NH; a sister, Louise Robinson of Chicopee, MA; four grandchildren, Donald P. Badger Jr. and his wife, Aimee of Merrimack, NH, Colleen Rice and her husband, Dan of Nashua, NH, Kelly and Erin Jean of Nashua, NH; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Katherine and Andrew Rice of Nashua, NH, and Abigail Badger of Merrimack, NH. She was predeceased by her son, Michael C. Jean, who died October 21, 1997, and her siblings, Joseph McCaughy, Francis, Charles and John English, Dorothy Silva, and her twin sister, Margaret English.
