Mary P. McKeon

Mary P. McKeon Lowell, stitcher for more than 30 years; 88 Lowell Mary P. "Meme" (Cusick) McKeon, 88, of Lowell, died Sun. Aug 12, at Maine Medical Center. She was the widow of the late Edward F. McKeon who died Dec. 13, 1979. A daughter of the late Thomas F. and the late Mary (Herlihey) Cusick, she was born Feb. 5, 1919, in Lowell, and attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and graduated from Keith Hall. She was a lifelong member of the former Sacred Heart Parish, and a current parishoner of Holy Family Parish. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality, the League of Catholic Women, and was a former President of the Mothers Guild at Keith Hall. She worked as a stitcher for Scottie Shoe Company for more than thirty years then worked in Central Supply at Tewksbury State Hospital until she retired. Mary was affectionately known as 'Meme' and enjoyed spending time with her family as well as traveling, especially taking cruises and summering in Maine. She enjoyed knitting and will be remembered by many for her 'famous brownies' made with her own secret recipe. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia 'Pappy' Brassard and her husband, Lucien, of Lowell and Mary Margaret Pagach and her husband, Steve, of Charleston, AK; her grandchildren, Steven E. Pagach and his wife, Shelley, of Bethany, OK, and Mary Beth Weaver and her husband, James, of Ft. Smith, AK; five great grandsons, Noah Pagach and Joshua Pagach, James Weaver, Dillion Weaver, and Steven Weaver; and many nieces and nephews, She was also the sister of the late Eleanor (Cusick) Wayne and the late Thomas P.
