Maurice Fleming Obituary
Maurice James 'Bucky' Fleming, aged 86, of Lowell, peacefully passed away after a stroke on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Westford House Nursing Home with his wife, June Fleming by his side.
Born in Lowell on November 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Maurice J. Fleming and the late Isabel (McCaffery) Fleming.
Bucky was employed at Western Electric for a brief period before moving on to a career in car sales, where he remained until his retirement in 2005. His passion for cars was evident throughout his professional journey and his personal life. Bucky was well known locally for many years as a legendary car salesman in Lowell.

Bucky was my cousin and we grew up together on Fremont St., Lowell, MA. His mother's maiden name was McCafferty. My father was her brother. I have many nice memories of him. However, I did not know his brother Brian because he was born in Dracut, MA and the family didn't get to visit a lot. Bucky and I would talk now and then by phone to catch up on things. He seemed to be content living downtown Lowell and had no desire to move.
