Mr. Picard began his commercial airlines career in 1957, as a co-pilot for Northeast Airlines, becoming a captain in 1965. From 1972 to 1991, he flew for Delta Airlines, retiring as a captain with over 34 years as a commercial pilot.
Mr. Picard a veteran of the Air National Guard, he was a pilot with the 102nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron stationed at Logan Airport.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church of Pelham, a member of EAA Experimental Aircraft Association, The Sea Plane Pilots Association and the QB's. He also maintained a home in Florida, in the Spruce Creek Fly-In section of Daytona.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David P. Picard and John J. Picard, both of Pelham; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine Mireault and her husband Raymond, Lucille Sousa and her husband Richard, all of Lowell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Picard and his wife Candice of Wakefield, Richard Picard and his wife Susan of Pelham; also several nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of the late Suzanne Picard and the brother of the late George J., Robert and Ronald Picard.

I am deeply saddened by Moe's passing. He was a wonderful husband and father to you all. To those that knew or met him he was someone to be proud of. Though the yrs have passed, I've thought of all of you often. My thoughts are with you know. Love Dottie
