He was born in Jersey City, NJ on October 13, 1946, a son of Nicholas and Veronica (Parasich) Kaplan. Michael earned his Associate's degree from the Academy of Aeronautics in New York and his Bachelor's degree in business from the University of New Hampshire.

Although our business relationship is only a couple years old, I can't seem to bring myself to erase his messages left on my phone. I was deeply saddened by his passing, and I will miss our phone chats. He was a huge support, and an expert hair dresser. Truly brought 18th Century to life!!! Huzzah! and Thank you.
My thoughts go out to his family and all his friends. You are missed.

Mike was a good friend and business associate of mine for many years. He made it a point on several occasions to tell me that he appreciated that, which is something we all do far too seldom. Take Mike's example: Tell the people in your life you appreciate them.

Mike - was a great historian and an equally great person! We shared an interest in militry and space history and I saw him often at the Boxboro Militaria Show. I am sadden by his sudden passing and I will miss him. May God watch over his family.

Mike was a great guy, a real renaissance man...we met at Gates Block and talked history and costume. He knew so much about wigs, hairstyles, customs and culture. He was a great addition to our studios and will be missed. Peace to all of his family and friends.

Of all the comrades that ere I had, they're sorry for my going away,
And of all the sweethearts that ere I had , they wish me one more day to stay,
But since it falls unto my lot that I should rise while you should not,
I will gently rise and I'll softly call, "Goodnight and joy be with you all!"

I'll miss you Mike.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of a good friend. I met Mike back in 1975 when he and I were members of the Tenth. I was stranded for a ride at an event and Mike offered to take me home...thats how we met. We spent many a ride and long hours at events talking of history and our hobby. Mike was a real Gentleman. I had not seen him in many years, but my memories will last a lifetime. My sincere sympathy to his Wife and family.

A photo I gave Mike when he joined, this car survives at Seashore Museum and seen here in Lowell, 1934
