Michael Veglas Obituary

CHELMSFORD -- Michael C. Veglas, 64, a resident of Chelmsford, died yesterday morning, April 12, at Lowell General Hospital.

He was born in Boston, March 19, 1943, son of the late Demetrious and Mary (George) Veglas. He graduated from Thompson Academy in 1961.

Mr. Veglas served with the Army Reserve during the mid-1960s.

With his brother Bill, Mr. Veglas founded CBM Industries in 1981, which is currently headquartered in Taunton, and retired from the business in 1995.

He was an avid sportsman, he enjoyed golfing and bowling. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Joseph Nordengren of Chelmsford; three grandchildren, Brandon, Ava, and Justin Nordengren, all of Chelmsford; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Peter and Beverly Veglas of Walpole, George Veglas of Pembroke, and Bill and Joanne Veglas of Foxboro; his former wife, Judith Whitney and her family of Windham, N.H., Kerstin Rosenberg; and many nieces and nephews.
