Nancy Ann Beekman Carringer

1938 - 2021

Nancy Ann Beekman Carringer was born on December 14, 1938 in Princeton, NJ and died on October 25, 2021 in New Brunswick.

Nancy was a resident of Annandale, NJ. She earned her degree from Sweet Briar College in Virginia, then later earned a Master's degree in Counseling at Trenton State College. She had a full career in the South Brunswick school system. She was a classroom teacher at Constable Elementary School, and a CIPED counselor and then a guidance counselor at the high school. She was a lifelong horsewoman, gardener, and lover of the outdoors. She traveled extensively, including participating in an archaeological dig in Israel and a visit to China with other educators. Nancy was active in the community, including volunteering with the domestic violence response team, and was an active member with the Sierra Club until her passing. She was passionate about environmental causes and social issues.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Donald. She is survived by her older brother Ralph Beekman and his wife Barbara, her sister Lois Kelley and husband Bob; her three children, Steven Carringer and his wife Michele, Doug Carringer and his wife Julie, and Tracy Kirk and her husband Bob, and her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sierra Club.
