Norman Rouleau Obituary
Norman J. Rouleau, age 95, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away at Greenwich Hospital on Sunday, January 21, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sarah Jean (Tovey) Rouleau with whom he enjoyed 64 years of marriage.
He was born in Lowell on June 14, 1928 and was the son of the late George J. and Rosaria A. (Nadeau) Rouleau. Norman earned a degree in Engineering from the Lowell Technological Institute (now UMass Lowell) and later obtained his engineering license from the Paul School of Marine Engineering in Boston MA. He was a proud veteran who became a Lieutenant Commander during his 10 years of service with the Merchant Marines. He also served for 4 years with the US Army. He was a recipient of numerous medals including the distinguished purple heart. He was a dedicated father and husband and above all else, he cherished his time with "Jeannie", the love of his life for 65 years.
In addition to his loving wife, Norman is survived by his son Robert Norman Rouleau, his wife Pam and their two children Nicolette and her husband, Ryan Fisher and Alexander Rouleau; his daughter Donna Jean (Rouleau) Vargo, her husband Alex and their daughter Juliette; and his daughter Darlene Rose (Rouleau) Smith. Norman was preceded in death by his brothers Roger and Paul Rouleau.
Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norman's memory to Veterans of Foreign Wars at vfw.org. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. Funeral Directors Paul A. Hardy, Jr. & Jennifer Lebaropoulos Hardy.
