Mr. Beaulieu played ball with my dad, Raymond Letendre, for many years. I was saddened to hear of his passing. He was a great competitor, fun to watch, and a really nice man.

With mixed emotion we bid farewell to our dear Friend Paul Maurice Beaulieu lovingly known to many of us as Maurice.
Maurice was a very special man devoted to our Blessed Mother and of course Our Lord. His life is to be celebrated - celebrating life and to attest its unity in recognizing one of its heroes. We thank God and Mary Our Mother for all the marvelous things accomplished by Maurice. He certainly filled his life in the best way enriching all of us with his gift of prayer – many souls entrusted to his care and thousands of souls who crossed his path.
We met Maurice at Saint Francis Parish and have been blessed with his Presence. We have admired always his respect and love for his devoted wife, daughter, and friends especially Father Herve Gagnon.
He had about him a touch of nobility and … stubborness which I politely would call determination. He held deep convictions. For him life was too serious to be taken lightly. He spoke with deep conviction, but with no anger.
Now he is Alive in God, and he can still say Peace to all from heaven.
He was truly an instrument of Jesus and Mary who loved us and who tried to guide, teach, and encourage us as much as was humanly possible. I would like to paraphrase St. Paul: "He planted, I watered, but God caused the growth." (I Cor. 3:6)
Maurice was a spiritual man deeply devoted to prayer. His reverence, devotion, and attentiveness spoke to us powerfully about prayer and worship. To hear him talk was to hear a man of prayer, a man of deep spiritual insights, a holy man of God. He was in many ways a spiritual Father to those of us he touched.
He had a great devotion to Mary, the Mother of God. He also prayed the rosary every day. What a consolation he was during our times of need. When Maurice reached the eternal shore, I can just picture Our Lady waiting for him to bring him to his Creator. I imagine her carrying him to meet her Divine Son, the constant object of his desire. I wish and pray to have such a peaceful death.
Maurice held a deeply seated loyalty to the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church headed by the Holy Father Successor of Peter. His noble bearing and quiet demeanor gave outward testimony to the great inner strength and faith that was his.
Our beloved Maurice took seriously our Lord's prayer to His Father. Maurice gave hospitality to angels unaware.
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught us to love the poor and care for the sick. Maurice took that teaching of the Lord to heart.
Maurice was a positive and joyful man. I don't believe I ever heard him complain about any sacrifice he had to make. When I saw Maurice for the last time at the hospital I saw on his face a peaceful expression of suffering as that of Jesus on the Cross. His surrender to the will of God was edifying, and a joy to behold.
I am sure that our dear Maurice is smiling down on all of us from Heaven, and will be praying for us all and all of our needs.
Love & Prayers,
Madeleine
