Mr. McGeeney served in the Navy in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1951. He received several decorations for his service, including the Korean Service Medal, the Navy Occupation Ribbon, and the Good Conduct Medal.
Prior to retiring, he worked as a pressman at the former Murray Printing Co. in Westford for more than 30 years. He was also a school bus driver in Westford for 30 years, affectionately known by the students as "Mr. Magoo."
He was a communicant of St. John's Evangelist Church in Chelmsford. He was a longtime member and past president of the Westford Kiwanis Club. Mr. McGeeney was also a member of the American Legion Post 437.
He was also known by family and friends as a skilled handyman.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sue Postel and her good friend Dana Shattuck of Pepperell; two sons, Paul McGeeney Jr. and his wife Melissa of Westford and Michael McGeeney and his wife Deborah of Ashburnham; and three grandchildren, Justin, James and Madyson McGeeney.
