Peter Kalogeropoulos Obituary
longtime resident of Lowell; 85
CHELMSFORD -- Peter C. Kalogeropoulos, age 85, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Joy (Schribbs) Kalogeropoulos.
He was born in Lowell on May 21, 1930, a son of the late Costas and Katherine (Kanatas) Kalogeropoulos. Peter was a longtime resident of Lowell, he was employed as an engineer at Raytheon Company until his retirement. Peter was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending time in Nova Scotia, Florida and North Carolina. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He is survived by a brother, George Kalogeropoulos and his wife Helen of Dracut; sister, Julia Athas of Watertown; devoted nieces Margaret (Banakos) Zoto and Liza (Banakos) Koutroubas as well as many other nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Faye Banakos, John Kalogeropoulos, Sophie Durgin and Harriett Kalogeris.
He will be missed by many friends and family.

Our condolences on the loss of Peter. He was a quiet and respectful 1949 classmate. Peter was a very good basketball player and captained our Lowell High School Team. Jim has many fond memories playing golf. He will be in our prayers. love, Kay and Jim Fallon 49ers

My deepest sympathies for your loss, I grew up in the same neighborhood in Lowell, Peter was a very nice person, friends with my brother John Lelos, played a lot of baseball at the North Common, also knew him in his later years. May his memory be eternal, Emily Lelos Stys
