He was born in Boston on Oct. 11, 1927, son of the late Philip and Rose (Bellefatto) Tumminelli. He lived in Waltham before moving to Billerica in 1965.
Mr. Tumminelli served in the Army during World War II.
He was a mechanical technician at Raytheon for 47 years.
He is survived by two sons, the Rev. Larry Tumminelli of St. Basil Seminary in Methuen, and Daniel Tumminelli of Millis; three daughters, Ann Marie Rojas, residing in California, Lisa Field, residing in Florida, and Johanna Dow of Dracut; and 10 grandchildren.
He was also the father of the late Paul Tumminelli and Philip Tumminelli Jr., and brother of the late Michael and James Tumminelli, Rose Demeo and Beatrice Passerallo
