Richard G. Chadwick Jr.

1929 - 2022

Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle.

Richard G. Chadwick Jr., 93, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH.

He was the loving husband of the late Frances M. (Stacey) Chadwick who passed away on December 21, 2020.

Born May 1, 1929, in Lowell, Massachusetts, the son of the late Richard G. Chadwick Sr. and the late Ivy (Noyes) Chadwick, he attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School in the Class of 1946.

Prior to his retirement, Richard worked as a Staff Executive with New England Telephone (later known as Verizon). His career spanned 34 years.

In addition, he was also a choir director and church organist for over 70 years, most recently at Christ Church United in Lowell.

Richard loved music and enjoyed playing the organ. He also liked to ski with family and friends.

He is survived by three sons and a daughter, R. Gregg Chadwick and his wife, Jill, of Hopkington, NH, John S. Chadwick and his wife, Kathy, of Pelham, NH, David N. Chadwick of Pelham, NH, and Debra Chadwick-Desmarais of Pelham, NH; eight grandchildren, David Chadwick Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Franklin, MA, John Chadwick Jr. and his wife, Raquel, of Pelham, NH, Alissa Desmarais of Pelham, NH, Jessica Chadwick of Hudson, NH, Stacey Fischer and her husband, Jason, of Lowell, MA, Ashley Desmarais of Derry, NH, Kellie Chadwick and Michael Chadwick both of Somerville, MA; seven great grandchildren, Victoria, Madison, Olivia, Trevor, Noah, Hannah, and Hayden; and by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Helen Martha Dancause, brother, Peter Chadwick, and son-in-law, George R. Desmarais, III.
