Richard George Proulx, 94, a lifelong resident of N. Chelmsford, MA died Monday, January 31, 2022 at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell, MA.

He was married to the late Lorraine T (Boucher) Proulx, who died on July 27, 2014.

Born in N. Chelmsford, he was the son of the late George and Yvonne (Pinard) Proulx. He graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1945. Mr. Proulx furthered his education, graduating from the Boston School of Accounting.

He proudly served with the U.S. Army in the Armored Headquarters Company during WWII.

He retired from L.O. Beede of Lowell in 1989 and previously had worked at General Electric of Lowell.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford.

He was a member of the American Legion A.W. Vinal Post 313 and enjoyed making model cars and photography.

He is survived by a brother, Roger Proulx of Dracut, MA, and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Russell Proulx and the late Blanche Furness of N. Chelmsford, MA, a brother-in-law of the late Reginald, Theresa and Ruth Proulx and the uncle of the late Paul Furness and his wife, the late Sally Furness.

Richard's family would like to thank the support staff at D'Youville Senior Center, residence at Freeman Lake, and the Beacon Hospice Center.

FUNERAL NOTICE Visiting hours Thurs. 2 to 5 P.M. A Funeral Service will be Fri. at 9 A.M. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
