Robert E. Ducharme
1928 -- 2011

DRACUT -- Robert E. Ducharme, 83, of Dracut, died Thursday, August 11, 2011, at the Merrimack Hospice House in Haverhill. He was the husband of the late Irene (Elie) Ducharme.

Born in Manchester, NH on March 9, 1928, he was a son of the late Alpheda and Ida (Martel) Ducharme.

Bob was a Korean War Army veteran having served in Germany with the 28th Division. He then joined the 941st Field Artillery National Guard of Manchester, NH. He was a life member of VFW Post 662, a member of DAV Chapter 25, a member of Greater Lowell Veteran Council, and also a member of St. Louis Veterans.

He leaves behind a daughter, Therese Mello and her husband, Jeffrey; a grandson, Jeffrey Mello; a granddaughter, Sarah Ann Mello; and a great-grandson, Caiden Mello, all of Dracut.

He was the brother of the late Claire Belaski, Lorraine Ducharme, Irene Clermont, and Rachel Brouillette.

DUCHARME -- Relatives and friends may call at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell from 4 until 8 PM on Tuesday. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 9 AM in Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
