Robert "Bob" William Tobin
of North Chelmsford

N. CHELMSFORD -- Robert "Bob" William Tobin, 78, of N. Chelmsford, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Bedford VA Hospital.

He was married to Caroline A. (DeChiara) Tobin with whom he would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on June 14th.

Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late Rose (Cormier) Tobin. He graduated from Waltham High School in 1958. He then proudly enlisted with the U.S. Army. After his service, he pursued a career in hairdressing.

Bob owned and operated Mr. Tobin's Magic Mirror of Chelmsford for over 35 years. In his younger years he worked at Mr. Gene's of Bedford,MA.

He was a former member of the Chelmsford Elks, Mount Pleasant Golf Club, and the Chelmsford Business Association.

He was a communicant of St. John's the Evangelist Church.

Bob loved to watch hockey and was a season ticket holder for UMASS Lowell Hockey. He enjoyed golfing and loved dancing.

Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, David Tobin of Amherst, NH, and Robert and his wife, Kristen Tobin of Sandwich, MA; a daughter, Michelle and her husband, Michael Hoagland of Westford; a brother, J. David and his wife Judy Tobin of Mashpee,MA; eight grandchildren, Anna, Cole, Connor, Ryleigh, Lily, and Braeden Tobin, Cameron and Ryan Hoagland.

TOBIN -- Robert "Bob" William Tobin of N. Chelmsford, died Saturday, March 18, 2017. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 to 8 P.M. Funeral Thursday at 10 AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Chelmsford. Burial in Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041. My sincere sympathy to the family. I worked for Mr. T for almost 30 years, A great guy with lots of great memories.

A real music man, Always playing golden oldies and dancing with customers In later years enjoyed him at the Chelmsford social day program where he was known as dancing Bob

We had a great time at Newtons Hair Salon with Mr Tobin.
He always had us singing and dancing. He was so nice to everyone. He loved people. We loved seeing his smiling face. My prayers go out to his loving family. May you Rest In Peace Mr Tobin.
