He was the husband of G. Ann (Reevers) Pemberton to whom he was married for 23 years.
He was born in Anchorage, Alaska, April 16, 1955, son of the late Nathaniel and Rosalie (Watkins) Pemberton. He graduated from Ayer High School in 1974.
For the past 16 years, Mr. Pemberton worked as a mechanic for the Town of Ayer in the water and sewer division of the Department of Public Works.
He attended the New Hope Community Church in Ayer, and the New Patriot Congregation at Devens.
He was a classic car enthusiast and through the years owned several, including his favorite car, 1970 Dodge Challenger.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Racheem Reevers, stationed in the Army at Fort Drum, N.Y.; four daughters, Sandra Reevers of Tampa, Fla., Taleesha Pemberton of Georgia, Arie Pemberton of Fitchburg, and Rayshell Wright of Ayer; three brothers, Nathaniel Pemberton Jr. of Fitchburg, Stephen Pemberton and Roger Pemberton, both of Texas; two sisters, Deborah Milton of Texas, and Tracy Richardson of Maryland; his mother-in-law, Mae Reevers of Fitchburg; six grandchildren, Breana Reevers, Jamai Blake, Darnell Reevers, Jamari Blake, Teigan Reevers, and Sereniti Tanturri.
He also leaves three brother-in-laws, Darrel Reevers and Jeffrey Reevers, both of Fitchburg, and Kon Reevers of Littleton; a sister-in-law and her husband, Lisa and Crulyn Terry of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of extended family members.
