BEVERLY FARMS -- Rosanne M. (Griffin) Murphy, age 90, passed away March 11 at Prescott House in North Andover after enduring a lengthy illness. Devoted wife of 52 years to the late Edward J. Murphy who passed away in 2001.

Rose first smiled at the world on March 12, 1926 she was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester and was the adored daughter of the late Thomas A. and Florence (Goggin) Griffin and lived in Billerica from 1954 until 2002 when she moved to Beverly Farms.

Mrs. Murphy was a former communicant of St. Theresa Church in Billerica and for 20 years worked as a Secretary for the Town of Billerica Schools.

She is survived and cherished by her children, Edward and his wife Diane of FL, Brian of CT, Kevin of Chelsea, Janice and her husband Robert Dunkley and their sons Griffin and Truman of Sandwich, Alison and her husband Paul Weingartner and their son Will of Beverly Farms. She was the mother of the late Neil Murphy and a warm and wonderful sister of the late Robert, Eugene and Edna Griffin and Florence Lahey and Ida Kelleher.

Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
