Stephen O'Keefe Obituary

Stephen M. O'Keefe
Formerly of Tewksbury, MA; 61

NASHUA, NH -- Stephen M. O'Keefe, of Nashua NH, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 14, 2013, at MA General Hospital, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Boston on April 11, 1952, the second of seven children of James B. O'Keefe of Tewksbury MA and the late Eleanor (Harrington) O'Keefe.

Steve graduated from Tewksbury MA High School class of 1970. He attended Northern Essex Community College, and later studied photography at the NH Institute of Art.

He recently retired from the US Postal Service after over 26 years of service.

Family members include his wife of 32 years, Kristina (Ford) O'Keefe; a daughter, Meghan; a son, Zachary and his partner, Nicole; grandchildren, Sophia and Jackson; a sister, Christine and her husband, Robert; brothers, Edward, Gerard and John. He also leaves many close cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were family to him. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and James B, III.

Steve was happiest spending time with his family and friends. He loved the beach, especially Drakes Island. He loved crawling on the floor chasing his grandson and making him laugh. He loved Saturday night dinners with his friends. He often said to us "You are loved and don't you ever ever forget it".

O'KEEFE -- Family and friends are welcome to join us in a celebration of his life on Friday, October 18th, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at The Lowell Elks Hall, 40 Old Ferry Rd., Lowell, MA. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in his memory to Jordan's Walk for Wishes P.O. Box 193, Brookline, NH 03033 or the American Cancer Society/Hope Lodge, 125 S.
