Thomas Edward Eagan Sr.
lifelong resident of Lowell

LOWELL-Thomas Edward Eagan, Sr., 82, U.S. Navy Veteran and lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital in the early morning hours of August 31.

Thomas is survived by beloved wife of 59 years Sandra D. (Taff) Eagan, Debbie (Eagan/Tarmey) Page and husband Mike Page, Thomas Eagan, Jr. and wife Denise (Blitch) Eagan, David Eagan, and Karen Eagan, grandchildren Erin and Eric Tarmey, Sean and Nathaniel Eagan, Haley Eagan, and great-grandchildren Keegan, Brady, and Cayden Buchikos, as well as brother Peter and his wife Maureen Eagan.

Thomas is preceded in death by son Michael Eagan, mother Dominicia "Doris" (Kwaitkowski) Eagan, father Edward J. Eagan, and brother Edward P. Eagan.

Thomas was born in Lowell on June 21, 1936. After graduating from Lowell High School, he dutifully served in the U.S. Navy as an electrician on the U.S.S. Rankin AKA-103 during the Korean conflict. He married on March 29, 1959 and after 30 years of employment retired from 3M.

Thomas was an avid fisherman and longtime supporter of Lowell Parks and Recreation and the Audubon Society. As a former altar boy for St. Peter's Church he was a member of St. Margaret Parish since 1963.

The family of Thomas E. Eagan wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the ER, Hanhett and Dahod staff at Lowell General Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion.

EAGAN - Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11 am, at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 12:00 noon at St. Margaret Parish, 374 Stevens St., LOWELL followed by interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, LOWELL.
