Alison Jansen, 65, of Michiana Shores passed away peacefully at 6 a.m. on Feb. 17, 2022, in her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on April 22, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, to Martin and Gloria (Jones) Judge.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Duane; two sons, Chris (Dana) Jansen and Brian Jansen; four grandchildren, Christopher, Katelyn, River and Kennedy; three sisters, Nanette (Jerry) Schultz, Colleen Judge and Suzanne (Scott) Dischler; three brothers, Robert Judge, Martin (Deb) Judge and Richard (Stephanie) Judge; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Gloria Judge.
Alison was an office manager for many years and worked at the Micky Gallas Group and @properties, where she made many great friends and increased her love for the area. She was a woman of faith and a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.
Alison loved being in the sun and spending time down at the beach here in Michiana or at her favorite place on Sanibel Island. She really enjoyed watching her favorite shows, "Law and Order" or any of the Chicago series.
Her greatest joy, though, was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Alison touched so many lives, and was a much loved and cherished matriarch of her family, and unconditionally loved everyone. She is now at peace and home with Jesus.
A celebration of life will be held for immediate family at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans Ave., Valparaiso, IN, 46383.
