Barbara Koselke Obituary

Barbara Jeanne Koselke, 83, of North Manchester, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.

She was born June 13, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Itha (Kruchten) Klafta.

Barbara graduated from La Porte High School. She had attended St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in North Manchester and enjoyed their nursing home visits.

On July 2, 1960, in La Porte, Indiana, she married Robert P. Koselke, who preceded her in death Nov. 15, 2016.

Also preceding in death were her parents; and her maternal grandparents, Edward and Marie Kruchten.

Surviving are her three children, Michael (Cassandra) Koselke of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, Christine (Phillip) Sayles of Pasadena, Maryland, and Andrew (Jennifer) Koselke of North Manchester, Indiana; five grandchildren, Ellyn, Jared, Jacob (Abigail), Aaron and Victoria; and three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Avery and Alice.

Cremation will take place. A private committal service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, 219-362-3100, is caring for the arrangements.
