Carl James Davis-Bey, age 66, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Carl was born on April 4, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, to Willie James Lyons and Louise Swanigan, who have preceded him in death.
Carl married the love of his life, Mildred (Thomas) Davis-Bey, who still resides in Michigan City.
Carl is also survived by his children, Carl J. II, Carla J., Jane C., Hope J. and Kalila J. Davis-Bey; three grandchildren; brother, Ra'el Swanigan; and sister, Carol Swanigan. He was also preceded in death by his son, James C. Davis-Bey.
Carl was a very prideful man who was very strong willed and nothing ever held him back. His family was most important to him. He loved DIY and always had projects going and loved music. Carl was a simple guy who was never seen without a smile.
Friends may visit with the family at the Islamic Center of Michigan City, located at 1606 North 500 East, Michigan City, IN 46360, on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
