Mrs. Cynthia "Cindy" Ruth Berg, 93, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025, at 11:10 a.m. in her home.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery Chapel, Michigan City, Indiana. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the cemetery chapel. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, is handling the arrangements.
She was born on Dec. 27, 1931, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Samuel and Lucille (Moore) Sadler. Cindy lived her life in the Michigan City area. She married Alan R. Berg, who preceded her in death on March 25, 2010. Her brother, Gene Sadler, also preceded her in death in 2010.
Surviving are her daughter, Robyn (Richard) Boehnlein of Augusta, Georgia; son, Larry (Mary) Berg of Michigan City, Indiana; five grandchildren, Joshua (Dawn), Sarah, Benjamin and April Boehnlein, and Katie (Craig) Stevens; and five great-grandchildren, Caleb and Olivia Boehnlein, Makayla Hawkes, and Atticus and Cece Stevens.
Cindy worked for JCPenney in Michigan City for several years. She was a former member and last attended Lamb's Chapel United Methodist Church, La Porte. Cindy had a passion and was a lover of all animals. She was skilled at crocheting, knitting and needle point, collected rocks and gems, and enjoyed traveling. Cindy loved to laugh and her family enjoyed her laughter. She loved her grandchildren very much. Cindy will be missed by her beloved family.
