David Allen Eversman, 68, formerly of La Porte, Indiana, died Aug. 18, 2022, under hospice care at Heritage Health Care in West Lafayette, Indiana.
David grew up in rural Clay City, Indiana, where he attended elementary school. At age 10, his family moved to Alleman, Iowa, where he graduated from North Polk High School in 1972. He attended both Iowa State University and the University of Iowa.
David was born on Oct. 14, 1953, to Reuben and Lois (Schroeder) Eversman in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Lois Eversman of La Porte; brother, Dan (Tina); nephews, Noah, Conor, Nikolas and Jonas of Lafayette; sister, Ruth Eversman of Ames, Iowa; sister, Rachel Siegel (Mark); niece, Sarah Hyler, and nephew, Matthew of Des Moines, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, at 4 p.m. at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Ave., La Porte, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Jo Ellen Chadwick will officiate.
Burial will follow the next day, Sept. 4, at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville, Ohio.
