Dean David Willson, II, 78, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Jan. 9, 2024, in the company of his family.
He was born on May 1, 1945, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Dr. Dean David Willson, I, and Amber Stiehl Willson.
On May 27, 1967, he married Francile Priest, to whom he has been married 56 1/2 years.
Surviving Dean are his wife, Francile; sister, Diane Willson Glittenberg; children, Wendy (Adam) Willson Brooks and Dean (Christy) David Willson III; nephew, Adam (Mindy) Glittenberg; grandchildren, Zachary and Madison Willson, and Megan and Zoe Brooks; two great-grandchildren; several great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Don Glittenberg; and nephew, Aaron Glittenberg.
Dean worked at the NIPSCO Generating Station, then later formed his own locksmith company. He took pride in his audio recording work with Hoosier Star. Dean built and learned to play several instruments, including an organ and a banjo.
He was part of Gideons International, the Plymouth Vineyard Church plant, Calvary Chapel, and Lutheran Churches.
Dean was a kind and faithful friend, as well as a caring member of his community. To his family, he leaves the legacy of having been the finest possible example of a loving husband and a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Pastor Derrick Minnick officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

So very sorry we could not travel today to share in the celebration of Dean´s life. We are so glad to have known him. Hugs and sympathy for the family.
