Jeanne C. Meyer, 92, of Lisle, Illinois, formerly of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at 8:58 p.m. in Villa St. Benedict, Lisle, Illinois.
Private Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Burial took place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, Indiana, handled arrangements.
She was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Fort Madison, Iowa. On Dec. 27, 1954, she married Marcellus "Marty" Meyer, who preceded her on Sept. 2, 2005.
Jeanne was the loving mother of the late Gregory Meyer, Doug Meyer (Flagstaff) and Marybeth (Greg) Lernihan (Naperville); devoted grandmother of Erin (Patrick) O'Keefe, Tom (Chelsea) Lernihan and Wade (Lauren) Lernihan; and fond sister of Sister Joan Conrad SSND and Thomasine Slagter, who both preceded her in death. Jeanne was lovingly referred to as "GG" by her six great-grandchildren.
Jeanne was active in the Service League and was a long-time volunteer and board member at the Therapy Center, where her son, Gregory, was a student. Jeanne was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church and served in the choir.
