Jerry M. Jardine, 73, of Michigan City passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in DeMotte.
He was born on Dec. 27, 1951, in La Porte to James and Dorothy (Wunder) Jardine.
Jerry is survived by his brother, Leslie (Kathy) Jardine of Dublin, California; his sister, Karen (Robert) Mitchell of Valparaiso; his nieces, Amanda (Scott) Chambers and Renee Garcia; and his nephew, Jason Mitchell. Also surviving him are his stepbrothers, Ron and Larry Cota of Michigan City; and his long time companion, Lolly Perrin of Michigan City. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, James Jardine and Dorothy (Wunder) Cota.
He is a U.S. Navy veteran. Memberships include the American Legion Post 37 in Michigan City and the Michigan City D.A.V. Jerry was also a retired Union electrician.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 14 at Newhard Funeral Home in Westville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Westville Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the American Legion Post 37 in Michigan City.

I first met Jerry at the wanatah American legion. He was bartender and was very entertaining. He was very good at his job and always he had a smile on his face. He left huge presence at our Post.

Jerry and I were classmates from grade school thru 11th grade at Westville. Lots of school memories, a lot with sports. Jerry was a competitor at the best in basketball. Rest in peace.
