Katherine Louise "Kathryn" (Kinney) Patrick, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, in Michigan City, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington Street, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City.
She was born on June 10, 1945, in Knox, Indiana, to the late Clyde and Mabel (Cornwell) Kinney.
Kathryn dedicated much of her career to factory work, contributing to the production of various items over the years. In her later years, she worked in a factory specializing in ball and joint sockets for replacement surgeries, playing a role in improving the lives of many through her work.
Family was at the heart of Kathryn's life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Beecher Patrick, whom she married on Aug. 22, 1960, in Knox, Indiana. Beecher preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2006.
She is survived by her children, Jacqueline (Dennis) Schuman, Cheryl (Danny) Willford, Katherine (Michael) Irk, Tena (Cletus) Moore and Beecher "Jim" Patrick. Her legacy continues through her 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Dale Kinney, Rita Bolinski and Carol Patrick. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Norma Kieto, Marjorie Kinney, Darlene Bailey, Sharon Campbell, Virginia Sinn, Robert Kinney, Dean Kinney and Darwin Kinney.
Kathryn found joy in tending to her yard and garden. She had a deep love for flowers and yard decorations that made her home a welcoming and beautiful place. Cooking and baking were also among her passions – she was especially known within the family for her delicious fudge and potato salad. Her love for sweets was well known among those who cherished her company.
Kathryn was deeply loved by her family throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her best.
