Michael Everett Obituary
Michael J. Everett, 69, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 11:30 p.m. in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, with Pastor Dallas Wingo officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
He was born Jan. 9, 1954, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Clarence and Maudie (Swafford) Everett. On Sept. 22, 1977, in La Porte, Indiana, he married Sherry (Hamilton) Everett, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Samantha (Timothy) Fife of Trail Creek, Indiana, and Jordan (Elliot Cummings) Everett of Michigan City, Indiana; son, Cody (Jordan Hardy) Everett of New Carlisle, Indiana; and his brother, Melvin Everett of Michigan City, Indiana.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Everett.
Michael had worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, rock n' roll, and riding motorcycles. He was also known for telling the best stories about the good ole' days.
Most of all, Michael's family was his world and he loved spending time with them. He was a caring father and husband who would do anything to bring a smile to the faces of his family.
Michael will be sorely missed, and the world is lesser without him.
