Paula D. Tylisz, 71, of Michigan City passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Root Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Paula was born Nov. 3, 1953, in Michigan City to the late Ray E. and Cornelia (Haynes) Lowry.
On June 25, 2011, she married her life partner, Lawrence "Larry" Tylisz, who is surviving in Michigan City.
Surviving are two daughters, Kasandra (Chris) Collins and Kristina Christie; four step-daughters, Lisa Lehker, Laura Tylisz, Liz Tylisz and Cindy (Bill) Higgins; nine grandchildren, Alex, Jakob, Kendra, Kayla, Dylan, Mina, Lestat, Brett and Nathan; six step-grandchildren, Isaac Lemar, Andrew Lemar, Thomas Patterson, Hunter Laker, Victoria Frazier and Zander Faryniak; many loving great-grandchildren; one sister, Theresa (Todd) Aiken; three brothers, Gregory (Josie) Lowry, Michael Lowry and Ronnie (Peggy) Lowry; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by one son, Scotty Lee Parker; three sisters, Phyllis, Betty Sue and Jeannie; and three brothers, Tommy, Jerry and Charles.
Paula was the co-owner/operator or KKS Medical Transportation LLC.
She was much loved by her employees and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
