Randy Edwards, 43, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at 1:36 a.m., protecting his family in Michigan City, Indiana.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, Indiana, is handling arrangements.
He was born Jan. 14, 1979, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Leon Edwards Sr. and Deborah (Hootman) Edwards Crittendon. On May 2, 2021, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Amanda Hurley, who survives in Michigan City, Indiana.
Surviving are his daughter, Tionna Edwards of Michigan City, Indiana; son, Randy J. (Madison Richards) Edwards of Michigan City, Indiana; stepdaughter, Rebekah Durham of Michigan City, Indiana; stepson, Jacob Durham of Plymouth, Indiana; two sisters, Doris Hootman of Michigan City, Indiana, and Rose Hootman of La Porte, Indiana; and four brothers, Elvis Hootman of La Porte, Indiana, Leon (Sara) Edwards Jr. of Michigan City, Indiana, Henry Edwards of Michigan City, Indiana, and Robert (Amanda) Hootman of Westville, Indiana; two half-brothers, Russell Edwards and Jimmy Edwards, both of Michigan City; and his half-sister, Elaine Edwards of South Bend, Indiana.
Randy was a dumpster driver for RL Roofing, Inc. He was a member of the Gentlemen's Club motorcycle group and an avid Chicago Bears fan. Randy enjoyed riding motorcycles, Play Station, video games and being with his family.

Very"sorry" about your passing of a loved one. From what I read he lost his life protecting his loved ones. May all be safe despite his passing.
