Robert (Bob) W. Baughman Sr., 90, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, at Millers Merry Manor in New Carlisle, Indiana.
Bob was born on Oct. 4, 1933, to the late David D. and Edna M. (Boyer) Baughman in North Judson, Indiana. He graduated from Rolling Prairie High School and retired from Whirlpool Corporation.
Bob was a kindhearted man, dedicated husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marene (Lois) James; two sons, Robert (Jill) Baughman Jr. and Matthew (Debi) Baughman of La Porte; one daughter, Shari Baughman of La Porte; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Barnes of La Porte, Indiana, and Virginia (Michael) Glanders of Walkerton, Indiana; and one brother David (Dolly) Baughman of La Porte, Indiana.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John Rogers, Terry Baughman and Eugene Baughman; and two grandsons, Robert (Bobby) Baughman and Nathaniel Skorup Baughman.
A memorial visitation will be from 9-10:45 a.m. (CST) Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Ave., La Porte, Indiana, with a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Ahlemeyer officiating.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life luncheon at the La Porte First United Methodist Church, 1225 Michigan Ave., following the funeral.
Memorial contributions may be made to the La Porte First United Methodist Church.
