Robert H. Eldridge Sr., 92, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at 9:03 p.m. in his home surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be Dec. 14, 2025, from 1 until 4 p.m. at the Moose Lodge 980 Family Center, 2107 Welnetz Road, Trail Creek, Indiana. Private family burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
He was born Oct. 13, 1933, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Cecil and Gladys (Kessinger) Eldridge. On Sept. 16, 1952, in Nashville, Tennessee, he married Beverly Wiseman, who preceded him in death on May 14, 2021.
Surviving are two daughters, Trish (Ed) Bildhauser and Pam (Rob) Fleming; four sons, Mike Eldridge, Tim (Judy) Eldridge, Dennis (Jana) Eldridge and Scott (Shawna) Eldridge; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; along with a great-great-grandchild; and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and a sister, Pauline Price.
He was preceded in death by son, Robert "Bobby" Eldridge Jr.; two grandchildren, TJ Eldridge and Brittany Eldridge; daughter-in-law, Raye Eldridge; along with 10 brothers and sisters.
Robert retired after 28 years as a machinist from Joy Mfg., and 20 years at Weil McLain, both in Michigan City, Indiana. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 980 Family Center, St. Joseph Young Men's Society and the Michigan City Fish & Game Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and bowling.

My prayers go out to the Eldridge and Bildhauser families. Bob will be missed greatly. Bob and I had many conversations about bowling , he was a great father and family man.Bob also had a great sense of humor
