Steven Hart Obituary

Steven Hart, age 73, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and his two beloved Boston terriers, Tater Tot and Lincoln Log.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1953, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Donald and Wilma (Lovejoy) Hart, who have preceded him in death.

On Aug. 25, 1973, Steven married the love of his life, his childhood sweetheart since they have been 14 years old, Patricia Hart in Michigan City. Patty still resides in Michigan City.

Steven is also survived by his two sons, Corey Hart and Jason Hart; grandchildren, Annabell, Stevie, Lilly and a new baby Hart to arrive in April; and lots of wonderful friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Hart.

Steven worked as a transportation foreman for the Michigan City Area Schools for 32 years. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. Steven loved most to travel with his wife. They loved spending time together enjoying their camper with family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. He was generous, funny, and would help anyone he could. His funny stories will definitely be missed by everyone.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN 46360.

I knew Steve from many years ago, used to deliver parts to him at the school bus garage, he was a top notch mechanic, he knew his stuff. I was young back then and he always was friendly and outgoing.

Condolences to the Steve Hart family. Steve use to hang out with my brother, Henry Phillips. Henry lost his life to ALS three years ago. So I know they have reunited in Heaven. I am so glad I had the chance to talk to Steve at his class reunion. He never forgot that my Mom had sewn his patches on his Army uniform and was truly appreciative of that. My mom remembered that and was touched he appreciated it. RIP Steve.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Wishing you peace during this difficult time. I talked to him on the phone not long ago and he told me about his vacations to Jamaica and talked about how much he loved it there. He was a great guy and again I am so sorry for your loss.
