Susan Lynn Larson, 76, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024.
Susi was born on May 17, 1948, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to Donna (Gustafson) Nichols and Carl Adrian Nichols.
On June 11, 1966, Susi married David Larson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2019. Susi is survived by daughters, Staci Reuer of La Porte and Lori (Mike McCalment) Larson of La Porte; and grandchildren, Cody Reuer, Ellen (Brendan) Jonasson, Emma (Joey) Ross, Anna Foglesong and Greta Foglesong; and special buddy, Paul Hoose.
Susi graduated from La Porte High School with the Class of 1966. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, sexton of St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Prayer Chain, Willing Servants Funeral Committee, president of Circle Eight, Thrift Shop worker, Ladies Aide, and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Susi taught decorative painting for the La Porte Park Department and worked at Ambrosia Banquet and Catering. Her favorite job was serving lunch to the kids at St. John's School. She enjoyed gardening, going to Shipshewana, Las Vegas, Redamak's, and concerts with her friends.
Susi's grandchildren were the love of her life, and looked forward to "Only Child Night" with them.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana 46350.
A memorial service will follow the visitation at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 111 Kingsbury Avenue, La Porte, Indiana 46350.

Susie was an enthusiastic and kind person I got to know when she was part of the LaPorte Park and Recreation Department Ceramics program. A very positive person who people enjoyed being around. She will be missed but left us all someone to remember!
