Thresa May Peters, 82, of Hanna passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024.
She was born July 17, 1941, to Clayton and Inez (Keen) Prestin, and graduated from New Carlisle High School in 1959. Thresa made her career as a school secretary, beginning at LaCrosse School before working at South Central School from 1977-2000.
She enjoyed watching NASCAR races, perfecting her needlework, spending time with the grandkids and their families, but nothing could beat going for a ride with Don and sipping on a frozen Coke.

She was preceded in death by one son, Clayton Younggreen in 2017; and one brother, Chuck Prestin.

I am reminded of so many fabulous things about Thresa. She graduated from New Carlisle High School, worked for many years as a school secretary, was a devoted wife and mother, and a faithful Christian. I really enjoyed talking with her about NASCAR and I always enjoyed it when she approached me after worship to discuss the NASCAR races. I am grateful for our visits in the lovely home that she shared with Don. Deepest sympathy to all of you.
