Troy Scot Hutchinson, age 61, of Zeeland, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Aug. 9, 2024.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lori (Lenick); his children and granddaughter, Katee Warren (Madeline) and Kyle Hutchinson; his brother, Dee Hutchinson of La Porte, Indiana; his sister, Teri (Randy) Griffin of Michigan City, Indiana; his stepmother, Janet Hutchinson of La Porte, Indiana; sister-in-law, Dorothy Didion of Irvine, California; and several nieces and nephews.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Karen Hutchinson. He was a maintenance supervisor for Hughes Management in Grand Rapids.
Troy cherished spending time with his family. He had a passion for competitive and leisure cycling, which he got from his dad. He passed that enjoyment down to his children and most recently his granddaughter, Madeline. His favorite time of day was when she brought him his shoes and he knew it was time to go for a bike ride. Before passing he had the joy of putting her first bike together and watching her ride.
He loved to attend football and hockey games with his son. He was always up for any adventure with his wife even if it meant driving several hours to look for fabric. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a kind hearted soul. He will be tremendously missed by his loved ones, his colleagues and his community.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland, with his funeral service to follow at 11 a.m.

Sorry for you loss. I worked with Troy when he was employed at Quality Air HVAC. He was fun to be around and a good tech. I also continued working with Troy at 4100 Lake Drive on his old Novar system. Fun times. Wish I could be there to give all a hug but I'll be way up north on vacation. It was a honor to know Troy. My Gods angles bring Troy home.
