Barbara A. (Baker) Armstrong

Grand Ledge

Barbara Armstrong age 78, a longtime resident of Grand Ledge, Charlotte, and Lansing, MI passed through the heavenly gates of Glory with family at her side on Tuesday, the 25th of April 2017.  A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Grand Ledge, MI on Monday, the 1st of May at 11:00am, followed by a reception at nearby Log Jam Inn. Barb was born in Grand Ledge  August 12, 1938 to Elmer and Dorothea (Bohr) Baker. She is survived by her brothers Richard "Dick", Harry, Daniel and Steven Baker; seven of her nine children Eric, Edward, Anne Cranson, Beth, Aaron, Brent and Douglas; pre-deceased by siblings Don, Tom and Sue, and children Brenna (1972) and Noah (1976).  Barb is blessed with 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and was married 30+ years to Douglas "Pink" Armstrong also a longtime resident of Grand Ledge. Her family asks that donations in Barb's name be sent to Hannah's House (www.Hannahshouselansing.org) to help young adults and their babies through difficult times.  They also send a special Thank You to the staff of Senior Community Care of Michigan PACE for their professional in-home End of Life assistance.
