Barbara was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 21, 2016. She was born in Charlotte, Michigan on April 13, 1929 to Bernard and Rachel McDaniels. Barbara graduated from JW Sexton High School class of 1946 and worked as a beauty operator most of her life. She was a member of First Christian Church, Lansing. She is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Ruth McDaniels; first husband, Harry Winters; second husband, Richard Hewitt; son, Mark Winters; grandson, Jason Winters.
She is survived by her husband, John Stanbarger; son, Skip (Christine) Winters; grandchildren, Evan (Meegan) Winters, Austin Winters, Markie (Ryan) Kobe; great grandchildren, Collin Winters, Carter Winters, Atleigh Kobe.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at First Christian Church, 1001 Chester Rd. Lansing with visitation one hour prior to the service. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Crystal through First Christian Church or to the Humane Society in Barbara's name. Warm thoughts and deepest sympathy to John, Skip and Barb's whole family. Enjoyed Barb's beautiful smile, pleasant conversations and delightful presence over the years in her 'shop' and most recently at the music jams in the Holt Senior Center.

We are so sorry to hear of Aunt Barb's passing. I have known her almost my whole life. First as a little girl when she would cut my hair and later in life when she married my Uncle Dick. She made her famous baked beans and apple crisp that she would bring to holiday dinners at my house. I am so fortunate she came to my mom's birthday party just a month ago at my house. I had no idea knowing it would be the last time I would see her. Rest in peace Aunt Barb, you will be missed.
