John, I was lucky to have met you and Claire and share the "teachers table" at the Jewish Home many a day. I could feel the love from you to Claire and back. And all of our friends that cared for our loved ones. I think of those times fondly. Claire was wonderful lady!

John,

Blessings in your, Tim and Annie's moment of grief! Ann and I are with all of you in prayer as we all recall the great moments of your lives serving others in our community. My memories of the two of you in the neighborhood were always so positive--always recall at Christmas your gathering of everyone to go caroling, bringing joy and humor into the houses/lives of those who were not always out and about. You two were always a source of community on your block.

Another bright memory is Clare walking around the area greeting everyone and asking about us, our families, and how we are doing.....always so cheerful, so full of energy and so kind.

And of course, there was always the time together at St. Ben's! You two were so involved and calling all of us to prayer and service! It was always so good to start the week in prayer as we all committed ourselves to another week of service in the City.

Clare was truly a saint and a person to be followed......her memory will always call me to a commitment to our community and our blocks on N. 56th in Grasslyn Manor.

May she rest in God's arms!

I'm so sorry for your loss. As a teacher at 38th St. School, I met with your parents at conferences and events. The depth of your parents' love and commitment to each other, you, and our world was obvious. Their example along with entrusting you to me was a gift. I hold you all in my prayers.

Kathie and I were honored to welcome Claire to the home of Ken and Rosemary in Milwaukee in 1971. Shortly thereafter we moved to Michigan and never got to know Claire well. I trust her spirit lives on in all whom she touched.
