Clara Creyts Obituary

Clara Bell Creyts Eaton Rapids, MI Clara Bell Creyts went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at the age of 92. Clara Bell was born on December 3, 1915, in Holt, to Vernett A. and Catherine "Katie" (Potts) Helmker, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 63 years, Henry C. Creyts in 1998. Surviving are: 4 children, Glenn Creyts, Lyle (Janice) Creyts, Nina (Kenneth) Reeve, and Ava (Gary) Hector; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, James (Pat) Helmker; 2 sisters, Tryphena Shaft, and Iva Butler; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Creyts and Julia Banister; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clara Bell was a loving person to all who knew her, and will be greatly missed. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with the Rev. Jack I. Fugate officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Griffith United Methodist Church, or Eaton Community Hospice in memory of Clara Bell Creyts. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Craft Care Home of Holt for Clara Bells care since May.
